PARTNERSHIP & EXPERTISE

The project involves 5 partners cities from diverse EU countries (Genoa-Italy, Barcelona-Spain, Hannover-Germany, Maribor-Slovenia, Montpellier-France) with the possibility to extend the project’s impacts to other 4 Host Cities (Lublin-Poland, Umeå-Sweden, Tallinn-Estonia, Timișoara-Romania).

The consortium offers a unique variety of competencies and experiences with specific focus on urban innovation, recycling strategies, co-design methods with local communities, social engagement, creative heritage, cultural promotion, audience development and local empowerment, transferability of practices, assessment & evaluation, effective communication & dissemination through different channels.

Didactic and research activities related to product / event design for Inclusive citizen participation and Co-creation actions are among the most significant expertise of DAD-UNIGE. The Department collaborate since years with local communities, associations, and municipalities in the re-activation on public spaces, organization, communication of urban events and performances.

UNIGE will coordinate the activities dealing with inclusive co-design methods in combination with performative arts and theatre.

Intelligent cities, self-sufficient buildings, digital matter, design with nature and advanced interaction form IAAC’s research lines. IAAC expertise in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) deals with: real-time data capture; energy generation, storage and reuse; material adaptability; parametric design; real-time management of time-uses and citizen (space) interaction.

IAAC will coordinate the activities connected to digital fabrication and ICT applied to public space through LandArt actions.

Urban design and planning for sustainable urban transition and territorial innovation, highlighting design research, emerging creative habitats, and circular dynamics, as well as interaction with infrastructure design, sustainable development, and circular economy. Within the Institute of Urban Design and Planning, we are teaching in the B.Sc. Architecture and M.Sc. Architecture and Urban Planning Programmes of LUH, as well as organising the Architecture of Territories doctoral college. Currently, we are coordinator of the Circular Design Innovation Alliance co-funded by the European Union.

LUH will in ReCITYing perform activities aiming to combine urban design strategies with music arts, culture, and economy, related to Hannover as UNESCO Creative City of Music.

contemporary art in Slovenia. Its extensive experiences and professional
activities are multifaceted and cover a wide range of activities including

UGM will coordinate the activities connected to visual arts, video-
mapping and arts events creation in streetscapes.

Champ Libre

Created in 1999, has the role the diffusion of architecture through events in cultural matters allowing the meeting between architects, owners, professionals of the building. Since 2006, the association has been devoted primarily to the realisation of the Festival des Architectures Vives (Lively Architecture). The FAV aims to reactivate the city and enhance emblematic heritage sites by opening it up to as many people as possible.
